As women, at times it is very difficult for us to know exactly where we fit in the whole scheme of things. Ever since the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, there have been continuous debates, discussions, and even controversies as to what a woman can or cannot do. The outcome of many of the discussions has left many of us cowering in fear, and not being able to fulfill our true potential. However, I want to let each of you know that every woman can be a channel for change. Following are a few biblical principles to help you.
-
Whenever God is about to intervene in the affairs of men, He always looks for someone through whom He could enact change. It is during such a time that we are introduced to Manoah’s wife in Judges 13, and to Elizabeth in Luke 1. From Judges 13:2 and in Luke 1:5-7, we note that God is well acquainted with the families that He is about to use. God knows your name, your address, your family background, your lifestyle, the condition of your life, and all your needs. As a matter of fact, He knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb.
It is important for you to see yourself the way God sees you. In the eyes of men, you might appear to be fragile, useless, and even past the flower of your age. Yet, in God’s eyes, you are an ideal channel to bring about change. God has no hang ups about people’s status, intelligence quotient, financial, or political standing. He is going to use any woman who avails herself for His service.

Woman, you are that channel of change. God wants us to know that as “Women” we have an integral part to play in the fulfillment of His purposes on earth. This is clearly stated in Genesis 1:26-28. Throughout the Bible, it could be noted that whenever God was about to do something great or significant, especially if it were in connection with raising up an individual or nation; He used both man and woman (Genesis 17:15; 21:1-2; Luke 1:34-35; Galatians 4:4-5). It is through the dead and unused wombs of women like Sarah, Hannah, Mary, Mrs. Manoah, and Elizabeth, that God has channeled His mighty purposes. With God, nothing shall be impossible. Say to your self, “I am the channel for Change.” Both Mrs. Manoah and Elizabeth were instrumental in giving birth to sons who had a significant impact upon their generations in their respective times. There is a birthing that is going to be channeled through you, which shall be a blessing to someone. It may not be a natural son, but it shall certainly be something of great importance.
